Orlando's trio proves All-Star worthy
In a first half battle, the Orlando Magic's all star trio looked nothing like the 34-10 team, that had looked so good all season. LeBron James swished and dished and just blew through every member of the Magic in the first quarter, scoring 10 points. Jameer Nelson, who was earlier in the morning, told he would be an All Star reserve along with Rashard Lewis in Phoenix. Dwight Howard was the leading vote getter this year, shattering the previous record held by Michael Jordan. The first half was sloppy, but fire ran through the tunnel as the second half begun. The only all star trio this year from the most unlikely squad, Orlando fought back and then raced to a 21 point lead and never looked back. Superman himself, exploded for 22 points 18 boards and 2 blocks, while the reserves caught fire late. Nelson provided 18 points and 3 assists and Lewis went off for 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. After going for 27 the previous game, Pietrus only shot 2-4, scoring 4 points. LeBron James went off for a quiet 23, 8 and 8 shooting 10-27 from the floor and wingman Mo Williams came up with 12 on a horrid shooting night going 4-15 and was -20 on the floor. the Pair also went 1-6 from downtown.
People might say that Boston's three deserves it or even the Lakers trio of Bynum, Bryant and Gasol. When all star trio goes off for 59 points, 26 rebounds and 8 assists, while bringing down the best team in the east. They pretty much shut up all the critics and trash talkers. Lets see what Superman and his colleagues can do this February in the big game. > Read all of the pro basketball articles online from ProBasketball-fans.com.
