Celtics vs Blazers Preview 7:30ET

Kevin Garnett is a hopeful return for the Celtics as they look to capture a victory against Brandon Roy’s Blazers. Garnett, the thirteen time all star, was voted to be in the starting lineup of this years all-star game in Dallas. He is averaging 15 points and 8 rebounds along with a couple assists. Not completely healthy but still playing some good basketball. You know who is also playing some all-star basketball is Brandon Roy. He’s averaging 23 point 5 rebounds and about 5 assists. We all know that its not just about the stats but the teams overall record. Portland has 26 wins and 17 losses on the season. So B. Roy is obviously getting it done. The young players of Portland are a team that no one wants to face come playoff time. They are young and they are scary

LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon’s sidekick, is having a high caliber year too. Dropping about 17 points and 8 boards, he is the low post presence that the Blazers have to go to when they need a bucket. Greg Oden is also a good player. Not quite living up to the hype that was brought with him out of Ohio State with all of the injuries that he has sustained throughout his young career he is still a good player how I think will one day be at the level that the Orlando Magic’s Dwight Howard. Don’t let me get too carried away.

The Celtics need to get back into their winning form as they have lost their last three games. Falling to the Bulls, Mavericks, and The Detroit Pistons. Its not that they haven’t been putting any effort into every game, but it’s the fact that they have been injured. Rasheed Wallace is working his way back from a groin injury, and Kevin Garnett is a question mark as to when he will return from his knee injury.  Marquis Daniels has a thumb injury and with him out Toney Allen is trying to give all he can to help the C’s win.
