Quantcast 2009-2010 Houston Rockets: Rockets @ Bobcats

Rockets 94 @ Bobcats 102 - Recap

The Houston Rockets continued their road woes, losing 102-94 to the Charlotte Bobcats—winners of six of their last eight games.

The Rockets have lost four straight away from the Toyota Center, but return home to play nine of their next ten games in Houston.

After trailing by ten going into halftime, the Bobcats rode Stephen Jackson’s career night into the second half and outscored the Rockets 52-34. Jackson dropped 43 points on the Rockets, the most scored on Houston since Kobe Bryant scored 41 in early November.

Boris Diaw had 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

Gerald Wallace finished with just nine points on 2-for-10 shooting, and Ronald Murry scored 14 points off the bench.

The Bobcats held Houston the just 41.7 percent shooting, maintaining their title as one of the better defensive teams at home.

Houston jumped out quickly, but poor shooting in the second half crumpled their hopes of ending its road losing streak—that and the offensively overpowering scoring night Jackson reeled out.

Trevor Ariza scored 19 points to lead the Rockets, with Luis Scola adding 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Aaron Brooks had 11 points, but was just 3-of-14 from the field.

The Rockets welcome the home-stand as they have won seven games in Houston.
