Quantcast 2010 Houston Rockets Basketball: Rockets @ Grizzlies

Houston Rockets @ Memphis Grizzlies Preview

Two teams glued together near the bottom of the Southwest Division look to get unstuck when the Houston Rockets travel to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies.

These two met up back in November, with the Rockets dismantling Memphis by 25 points. Luis Scola had 22 points and 15 rebounds in that game and continues to get good looks at the basket.

Houston beat the Golden State Warriors on Groundhog Day convincingly by 22, but has won just one road game in the last six contests. Carl Landry and Aaron Brooks put up 24 points apiece as the Rockets shot 50 percent from the field.

The matchup figures in favor of the Grizzlies, who are playing some of the best basketball this season, especially at the FedEx Forum. Memphis has won 12 of its last 13 home games, including its most recent victory against the West’s top team, the Lakers.

Rudy Gay scored 25 points and Zach Randolph provided a double-double with 22 points and 17 rebounds in just Memphis’ second win against the Lakers in the last nine matchups.

The Rockets have lost three of the last four in Memphis.
