Heat @ Rockets - Preview
The Houston Rockets play host to the Miami Heat Friday night at the Toyota Center, where they have won their last eight matches. The Heat are playing with an injured Dwayne Wade, who has a sprained right wrist. But that did not stop them from grabbing a 115-102 win against Golden State on Wednesday.
Wade scored 35 points and was perfect from the line, going 15-15. It was the 11 th time Wade scored at least 30 points in a game this season. Jermaine O’Neal added 24 points and seven rebounds. Not only did O’Neal and Wade combine to drop 59 points, they did it on 21-of-30 shooting. Wade is scoring 29.4 points a game with almost seven dimes so far this month. Miami has not won in Houston since its championship season in 2006.
The Rockets survived a triple-overtime thriller on Wednesday against Minnesota, winning 120-114. Aaron Brooks scored a career-high 43 points, and Chuck Hayes grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds. Brooks is averaging 23.8 points per game in January, hitting from behind the arc at a 46.7 percent clip. Houston had four players play at least 50 minutes, but should be well rested for tonight’s matchup.
