Jazz @ Rockets - Game Preview
The entire Houston Rockets squad got a full reprieve during the All-Star break and look to get back into the playoff picture when they host the Utah Jazz. Houston is currently ninth in the West, sitting two games behind Portland for the final postseason seat. A 3-6 record leading up to the break put them on the outside looking in.
Most of the news surrounding the Rockets has been about Tracy McGrady, who is rumored to be traded to a new team before Thursday’s trade deadline. The Rockets have struggled at home lately, winning just three of their last nine home games.
Utah, on the other hand, sits comfortably in third place and has reeled off nine wins in the last ten and 13 of the last 16. The Jazz haven’t won in Houston during the regular season since January 2008. The break likely helped out Rocket’s swingman Trevor Ariza, who missed the last game with a hip injury, but figures to be back in the lineup.
