Hawks 99 @ Thunder 10 - Recap
For the second time in two weeks, the Oklahoma City Thunder pulled out a close victory against the Atlanta Hawks, but this time in more convincing fashion, winning 106-99. Kevin Durant scored at least 30 points for the third straight game, connecting on 9-of-18 shots and a perfect 14-14 from the line to finish with 33 points to go with 11 rebounds. In the last three games, Durant is shooting a blistering 63.7 percent from the floor. Russell Westbrook added 12 points and nine assists, while Jeff Green scored 19 points.
On the other end, Joe Johnson was able to top Durant’s scoring night with his own 37 point performance on 13-of-20 shooting. Atlanta’s frontcourt of Josh Smith and Al Horford combined for 29 points. Overall, the Thunder played a complete game, outrebounding the Hawks 45-35, providing 20 assists on 37 field goals. They played clean as well, committing just six turnovers. Oklahoma City go for a quick turnaround tomorrow when they travel to New Orleans.
