Partly responsible for the Thunder’s recent success is Kevin Durant, who has scored at least 25 points in 28 consecutive games.

He needs to reach that plateau 12 more times before reaching Michael Jordan’s record of 40 consecutive games to record that many points.

Durant led the Thunder with 32 points on Sunday night against Minnesota, while Russell Westbrook recorded his second career triple-double and first this season. He had 22 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds.

Oklahoma City welcomes the Phoenix Suns, who are just a half-game behind the Thunder for fifth place in the West.

The Suns are coming off a 104-88 win against the Sacramento Kings. Steve Nash had 17 assists to go along with 11 points. Jason Richardson led the team with 26 points.
