Knicks vs. Heat: Game 4 Observations and Musings

The New York Knicks avoided a sweep, beating the Miami heat in game 4 of their first round matchup. Does this victory change momentum and give New York a chance to be the first team to come back from being down 3-0 in a playoff series? NO, but here are some thoughts on why it was important:

1. The New York Knicks playoff losing streak will not reach 100. It will stop at 13. Congratulations!

2. YES, for the tenth time: Carmelo Anthony is the franchise guy! Few take over the end of games like Melo did on Sunday.

3. Spike Lee’s closet wardrobe does contain more than basketball jerseys. Who knew?

4. LeBron James looks different, unafraid. A reason for everyone else to be VERY afraid.

5. With this win it’s hard to find a reason NOT to bring back Mike Woodson as the coach. I can’t imagine Phil Jackson would want to spend his final years working in this organization. Woodson deserves the chance, do the right thing Knicks organization, for once…

6. Speaking of dapper (Spike Lee), how many times do we need to see Jeremy Lin on the bench? Jeremy Lin and ‘Linsanity’ is NEVER going away!

7. Mike Bibby: Still clutch!

8. Tyson Chandler is MORE valuable than Chris Bosh…by FAR!

9. Despite limited contribution and leaving with another knee injury. Any speculation on how many more millions Baron Davis will turn this “potential” into? 10 million? 20 million?

10. Game 5 prediction: Miami Heat 106, New York Knicks 87…shots of Jeremy Lin in a suit: 14.
